JETTY FLAT RESERVE SCORES $500,000 TOWARDS PAVILION REDEVELOPMENT

Jetty Flat Reserve is among 73 projects to score a share in $22 million from the Victorian Government’s 2021 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.

Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney announced a $500,000 grant, for Warrnambool City Council’s Jetty Flat Reserve Pavilion Redevelopment Project.

Once complete the project will feature two new change rooms with unisex amenities, new designated umpire amenities, and refurbish the existing pavilion to provide updated public and accessible amenities, shared kitchen/canteen area, office space and social rooms.

It will provide a renewed base for the Russells Creek Cricket Club and Warrnambool BMX Club, to build on their memberships, training, competitions and development programs.

Ms Tierney acknowledged the Warrnambool City Council, Russells Creek Cricket Club and Warrnambool BMX for their commitment and financial contributions to the project.

“Congratulations to the Russell Creeks Cricket Club, Warrnambool BMX Club and all the other sporting clubs that call Jetty Flat Reserve home. This boost will go a long way to support the growing number of people keen to get involved in local sport and recreation.” said Ms Tierney.
