“We need promotional campaigns, television commercials, billboards, online marketing, to show to fellow Victorians the exceptional offerings in their own backyard,” she said.
“We need to be showcasing the wonderful rugged coastline of the south-west, the stunning beauty of our national parks and reserves, the cultural heritage values of our world heritage listed Budj Bim and highlight the exceptional dining experiences available.
“The Liberal Nationals have released our plan to get Victoria back in work and back in business which included a way to help regional tourism with a $200 million dedicated regional tourism fund.
“The Andrews Labor Government needs to match that immediately to support our country communities and bring visitors back to regional Victoria.”
Ms Britnell said as restrictions were lifted, people would begin to move around the state again and it was time to support businesses to get back on their feet.
