ACCC Deputy Commissioner To Be Be In Attendance

The not-for-profit organisation, Farmer Power, has organised an open forum on the mandatory code for all dairy farmers in the south west region and have managed to land a special guest speaker.

The forum, which is open to any members of the public that may wish to attend, will have ACCC Deputy Commissioner Mick Keogh present to answer questions from farmers regarding the mandatory code.

Farmer Power are also organising a discussion panel on the night which Mr Keogh will be a part of.

More speakers from across the country will also be attending the forum.

The Australian Federal Agricultural Department released their 2nd draft Mandatory code recommendations in January.

This will be the first opportunity and most possibly the last that south west farmers will have a chance to address those draft mandatory code recommendations.

The public forum will be held Wednesday 13th February from 7pm at City Memorial Bowls Club, Cramer Street, Warrnambool.
