Princess Highway Closed In Both Directions Following Serious Collision

UPDATE FROM VICTORIA POLICE AT 3:09PM

Police and emergency services are currently at a serious collision in Garvoc (10 September).

It is believed a car and a truck collided on Princes Highway just after 1.15pm.

The driver of the car, a woman believed to be in her 40’s has been airlifted to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The passenger in the car received minor injuries.

The driver of the truck, a man believed to be in his 40’s was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The exact circumstances of the collision are unknown and the investigation is ongoing.

EARLIER
The Prince Highway is closed in both directions between Great Ocean Road, Allansford and Ayresford Road, Terang due to a serious collision.

Motorists should detour via Great Ocean Road, Cobden-Warrnambool Road and Ayresford Road.

There is limited local access available, under the direction of emergency services.

This closure is under Victoria Police control. The road will re-open when investigations are complete and it’s safe to do so.
