Cyclist Michelle Ferris Top Honour

Warrnambool cycling export Michelle Ferris has been inducted into the Cycling Victoria Hall of Fame.

Michelle's career has been extensive, taking her from the back roads of Warrnambool where she grew up training, to Commonwealth and Olympic games.

Michelle competed for Australia on the track at the Olympic and Commonwealth Games and World Championships between 1992 and 2000.

At 19 years of age, at the 1996 Sumer Games in Atlanta, Michelle won silver in the Women's Sprint. In 2000 in Sydney, Michelle won another silver medal in the 500m Time Trial.

As well as Olympic medals, Michelle won 16 Australian titles and multiple world championships medals.

Michelle was presented with her trophy by Laurie Norris.
