Local kindergartens among those to share in funding announcement

The State Government has announced that a number of local kindergartens will be among 784 across the state to share in almost $1.1 million in technology grants.

Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney announced 14 kindergartens in Victoria’s south west will receive funding through the Building Blocks IT grants program, designed to help purchase essential IT equipment to support and improve their learning environment.

Grants have been given to projects designed to improve existing early learning facilities and continue to support early childhood education improve the condition, suitability and IT capability of kindergarten services.

“It is crucial that early childhood education providers have the technology they need to deliver the best possible education outcomes.” said Ms Tierney.

“Kindergarten providers in south west Victoria are equipping the next generation of students with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in a technological age, while offering local children access to best practice learning.”

- Elsa Macleod Kindergarten Inc

- Kalbarri Kindergarten

- Goodstart Early Learning Warrnambool

- Goodstart Early Learning Dennington

- Goodstart Early Learning Portland

- Jaycee Kindergarten

- Heywood Kindergarten

- Portland Child and Family Complex

- Hawkesdale and District Family Services Centre

- Merri Kindergarten

- Koroit Kindergarten

- Nullawarre Kindergarten

- Macarthur Kindergarten

- Port Fairy Community Services Centre
