The event is being held with support from Project Respect Heywood.

Project Respect Heywood Officer Hara Carragher says the evening will hopefully change the current state of men's mental health.

“The latest statistics show that three quarters of mental health issues in men emerge before they turn 25, and one in five young men experience anxiety or depression before they turn 18,"

"The Man Cave seeks to address the current state of masculinity in Australia and help reverse these alarming health trends in young men,”

“The session will also rethink the concept of masculinity and how to move away from narrow stereotypes and foster healthier interpersonal relationships."

“Ultimately the evening will help provide the tools to cultivate an environment where respectful relationships can flourish, creating more happy, healthy and equal communities, which benefits everyone."

Bookings are essential as places are limited. For further information, or to reserve your place please contact Project Officer Hara Carragher at hcarragher@glenelg.vic.gov.au or on 5527 0615.
