Moyne Health Services Have Put A Number Of Measures In Place In Response To Covid-19

Moyne Health Services are continuing to serve the community, and have put a number of measures in place in response to the current COVID-19 situation.

The entrance to the hospital has been closed to the public with everyone attending the facility asked to enter through the Community Health Building.

Those visiting any of Moyne Health's facilities will be screened with questions, asking if they have traveled overseas, been in contact with anyone with, or suspected to have Covid 19, and if they have felt or are feeling unwell.

MHS Acting CEO Katharina Redford says they are in good shape to navigate through this period.

"We feel that we are in a good place to navigate our way through this crisis, we are having daily updates with our staff, we have a weekly question and answer session with our staff" she said.

"Given that our staff are locals, they are able to take that information back into the community"

Ms Redford also suggested locals stay up to date via the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), while regular updates continue to be available via the Moyne Health Services Facebook Page.

"The main message is that people need to be aware of the vulnerable people in our community, that is the elderly and those who have long standing medical conditions".

"We're asking everyone to maintain their social distancing practices, to wash their hands as often as they can, to stop touching their face, and we're asking people not to gather in large groups"

"We've suspended our social support groups, and any group services here at Moyne Health Services".
