Brooke Brown Appointed Regional Talent Lead at GWV Rebels

The AFL has announced the appointment of Brooke Brown, as the new Regional Talent Operations Lead for the GWV Rebels ahead of the 2022 NAB League Season.

Brooke will replace outgoing Operations Lead Damian Ross who finishes up at the end of the season after stepping in for the short-term this year.

NAB League Manager for Country Lee Fraser said Brooke was the stand out choice for the position after a long and decorated career in the NAB League spanning more than 10 years.

“Brooke has demonstrated the attributes we look for and shows an unwavering commitment to the NAB League boys and girls programs"

"She is an excellent football person and has an incredible ability to connect with all players, families and staff,” Fraser said.

“Brooke is primed to take the GWV Rebels region forward. She understands the history of the region and its place in the Victorian Talent Pathway as a significant contributor to building better footballers and better people.”

Brooke is currently the Regional Talent Operations Lead for the Bendigo Pioneers and will assist in the transition.

“It’s exciting to be able to come back to the GWV Rebels - a place that gave me my first opportunity within an elite pathways program"

"To be able to pay it forward and give back to the region is something that I am extremely excited about and will take great pride in,” Brown said.

The NAB League pre-season will officially commence in November for Girls and Boys.
