Following concerns raised by local users about the Port Fairy skatepark, Council has made the decision to close the facility, effective immediately.
Moyne Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Meade, said that while it was a blow for those who use the facility, Council is putting safety first.
“Council had contracted repairs to take place at the skatepark in late 2020,” Cr Meade said.
“However further major works are still required in order to ensure the safety of skatepark users, so Council have made the decision to close the facility while a
review is undertaken.
