Fran Kearney, from the ATO’s Small Business Education, Prevention and Support team, says that as the commercial centre of the region, Warrnambool was the ideal location to host the events.
“By providing these face-to-face workshops, the ATO is giving small businesses in Warrnambool the opportunity to learn and understand what they need to do, why and how, so they can confidently get off to the right start in running their business,” she said.
“Our workshops are designed to provide accurate and clear information to help small businesses understand their rights, entitlements and obligations.
Warrnambool City Council CEO Peter Schneider encouraged all businesses, especially new businesses, to take the opportunity to hear from the ATO in person.
“There can be a lot to learn when it comes to setting up a business and making sure your tax and payroll processes are in order is crucial,”
“This is an excellent chance to be brought up to speed by the experts themselves."
All workshops will be held at South West TAFE and are free to attend.
